My given name is Ellis L. Knox, though from childhood I've used my nickname of Skip. I have a PhD in early modern European history and am adjunct faculty at Boise State University. My "day" job, though, is as university webmaster. This project, therefore, is a very natural marriage of two of my major interests.
I have taught history online since the very early days of the Web. I now have four courses online:
- History of Western Civilization (ancient and medieval)
- The Crusades
- The Late Middle Ages
- The Reformation
In addition to my interests in things webbed and things historical, I enjoy creating electronic music. I used to have stuff online back in the happy days of MP3.com and IUMA. One of these days I'll find a new home for it.
